UNICEF is the driving force that helps to build a world where the rights of every child are realized. They have the global authority to influence decision-makers and the variety of partners at grassroots level to the most innovative ideas into reality. That makes UNICEF unique among world organizations and unique among those working with the young.

Yunus Centre

In July 2008, the Yunus Secretariat was renamed the Yunus Centre. The Yunus Centre has since been the one-stop resource centre for all Grameen social business related activities both globally and in Bangladesh. It keeps the spirit of the global social business movement very high through various events, social media, publications and websites.


iBizNet is a global community web site designed for cottage industries. Their members include specialty retailers, product suppliers, support services providers and leasing professionals. iBizNet provides an honest, up-to-date marketplace directory and networking channel for micro-enterprises. As a community website, members will foster business development by sharing their stories, business experiences, tips and techniques.

Grameen Bank

Grameen Bank, started by Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus in 1976, is a microfinance institution (MFI) that serves the financial needs of the poor in Bangladesh. It uses an innovative, collateral-less loan called microcredit to help the rural poor get themselves out of poverty through their own efforts. Aside from loans, Grameen Bank also offers other financial services to the poor including insurance and savings accounts.

Grameen Shikkha

Grameen Shikkha is an organization within the Grameen family that is focused on education. Its mission is to improve the existing educational system in Bangladesh through several different means. Their methods include providing merit-based financial support to poor students through scholarships, promoting education and organizing facilities for education and training.

Grameen Kalyan

Grameen Kalyan provides affordable healthcare services to the rural poor in Bangladesh. Officially launched in 1997, Grameen Kalyan currently operates 30 health clinics in various areas of rural Bangladesh.

Grameen America

Grameen America is a microfinance organization whose mission is to alleviate poverty through entrepreneurship. Grameen America provides loans, savings programs, credit establishment and other financial services to the working poor, especially women, in the United States.

Grameen Foundation, USA

Grameen Foundation, USA offers tiny loans, financial services and technology to help the poor - mostly women - start self-sustaining businesses to escape poverty. The foundation was established in 1997 by a group of friends who were inspired by the work of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh. Their global network of microfinance partners reaches over 3 million families in 22 countries.
